In response to
your first enquiry we will reply with our availability and an estimate of the
cost.
-
If the cost is
within your budget we can go to the next phase.
-
At this stage we can firm up your quote which will be on a delivery fee
(wages, captains flights and food) + on board expenses (diesel R
& M, Port dues etc) basis.
-
If your vessel is
in New Zealand we will then inspect it to assess its' seaworthiness. This
inspection takes about a day and costs NZ$250. If we do the delivery this
service is free.
-
You will receive a copy of the ~200 item report, which in itself is very useful for owners whether
we deliver the boat or not. Your report may include digital photographs
of any areas that require work.
-
If your yacht is
not in New Zealand we will send you an assessment report spreadsheet for you to fill
in and return. This spreadsheet forms part of the delivery
contract.
-
In some situations
there will be items needing attention. An estimate of the cost of the work and parts
can be provided if requested. We can attend to this work if required.
-
At this stage we will send you a contract for the delivery and any work required
by us prior to
departure.
-
Upon signature of our contract we will require a deposit to
secure a time slot for your delivery. Payments should be made by
direct bank transfer or cash.
-
We will then prepare
your vessel for departure and finalize crew and provisioning etc.
-
The delivery will
be undertaken as near as possible to our agreed departure date according to
the weather forecast.
-
The boat's
position can be reported daily to a shore station or to you directly, so that you can keep up
to date with progress.
-
On arrival your
vessel will be cleaned thoroughly and moored safely at the destination port.
All clearance procedures will be undertaken.
-
Once your boat is
secure in it's destination Port you must make your final payment and your
vessel will be handed over you or your designated representative.
